MECHATRONICS ENGINEER (Ogun State, Nigeria)

Job Title: Mechatronics Engineer (Indian Expats ONLY)

We are searching for an innovative, deadline-driven mechatronics engineer to join our team. The mechatronics engineer’s responsibilities include improving existing mechanical systems, developing new product concepts and prototypes, designing and testing mechanical and electronic systems, and developing various automated systems.

To be successful as a mechatronics engineer, you should be able to work within demanding timeframes and develop original, practical solutions to problems. 

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot electrical system failures and perform necessary repairs.
  • Test electrical systems using digital multi-meters to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Write detailed electrical maintenance reports documenting repairs and findings.
  • Install new electrical appliances, both distribution and industrial, within the factory.
  • Familiarity with various electrical components and systems, such as star/Delta starters, DOL starters, VFDs, electric motors, temperature controllers, level sensors, interlocking systems, PCCs, MCCs, generators, and their synchronization.
  • Knowledge of ACB/VCB operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to determine cable sizing, overload relay, and contactor selection based on electric motor specifications.
  • Interpret and create electrical/wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Understanding and operation of power generation and distribution systems.

Requirements:

Mechatronics Engineer Requirements:

  • BSc in mechatronics engineering or similar. A masters degree will be an added advantage.
  • 10 years industry experience
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a team or alone.
  • Self-starter with a passion for engineering
  • Proficient knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system failures.
  • Experience in testing electrical systems using digital multi-meters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for writing maintenance reports.
  • Competence in installing new electrical appliances (distribution and industrial).
  • Familiarity with a range of electrical components and systems, including starters, controllers, sensors, and interlocking systems.
  • Understanding of power generation and distribution systems.
  • Ability to interpret and create electrical/wiring diagrams and schematics.
Salary Range: $1,000 to $1,200 (local allowance of one hundred thousand naira).
